Non-Fiction

Ruth’s non-fiction began in 1992 with two books on ancient Greece, written both for scholars and the general reader: a study of mind and body in Greek tragedy and religion, followed by a study of madness in tragedy. In 2000, she published a book on the influence of Greek myth on rock music, and in 2005 a travel-memoir: her first-hand account of tiger conservation in jungles across Asia.
